The Truth About Typing at Home Jobs09.02.10

In years long past, typing at home jobs could be found. People built entire businesses around typing up other people’s reports, essays and even books. (This may be showing my age here!) There may be a few remaining assistants who will take an old guy’s notes and turn them into a manuscript, but not many.Typing at Home is Not What it Seems

Why have typing at home jobs gone the way of the dinosaur? Because everyone has a computer now, or a laptop or even a phone that can create typed documents with ease. For those without fast typing speeds, there is voice recognition software.

On the internet, typiing at home jobs get advertised fairly regularly. They attempt to pull people in with promises of easy money for typing just a few hours each day. Those who are unused to the marketing-speak of the online world often get sucked into paying “just” $29.95 to learn more about this exciting opportunity! (Is the sarcasm coming through okay?)

But there are no such things as typing at home jobs anymore. There may be some virtual assistant jobs, but you won’t find employers advertising them with flash websites and videos about how you can move to Maui in two years. You’ll find them just like any other telecommuting job out there… on a job site or in the newspapers.

What are these typing at home jobs then? What exactly are these people advertising?

First of all, NEVER pay $29.95 (or any other amount) for the opportunity to work or to get a supposed job. Second of all, get savvy about how people make money on the internet. There are three potential reasons someone would want you to start typing at home for them.

1) Typing advertisements onto classified sites or even paying for ads in papers

2) Typing articles you come up with  yourself (also called writing!)

3) Typing forum posts, comments or blurbs on sites… pretending you are interested in the topic but really spamming links or ads (which is really annoying and morally questionable)

How does this tie into how people make money on the internet? The top two ways to make money online is by selling information, sometimes through affiliate programs, or freelance writing. These typing at home jobs have you doing things - and making a fraction of the actual profit - that could be done directly by you to build a considerable income.

Stop trying to find typing at home jobs or opportunities, and think about what people really want. It’s not typing. They can do that themselves. It’s content, or advertising. If you can create good content or advertising, you can make money for yourself.

The Question of Paid Forum Posting07.29.10

There are two very definitive schools of thought on paid forum posting. Some forum owners find it an effective way to jump start their forum or message board. Others consider it cheating of the most heinous sort.

Essentially, paid forum hosting is a service where writers post threads and replies on your forum to start conversations and make your forum look busy and active. Since random visitors to the forum are not likely to post on a forum that has no conversations, this type of forum population can be very effective.

But what about the naysayers?

Some forum owners consider paid forum posting to be cheating. After all, these people are being paid to post on your forum, and are unlikely to stick around after the job is done. Also, there are sometimes problems with the quality of posts written.

Paid forum posting comes down to personal choice. Will you use it as a jump start to your forum, or will you instead attract real users the old fashioned way - through dogged hard work?

eHow - Good Pay Per PV Writing Site07.14.10

This has to be the easiest place to write and earn money for page views (PV) on the internet.

I’m not sure how eHow figures out what you earn, but you do earn for every page view your articles receive. They aren’t really articles though. They are looking for informational lists of steps to take to do something.

You can write a “How To” article about anything. You can include pictures and videos.

You can write one in less than ten minutes. And you earn residual income for page views as long as people keep looking at your article.

Recommending paid to write06.02.10

People ask me all the time how I make money on the Internet. While I do have multiple websites and blogs that earn me money through Google Adsense and affiliate programs, as well as straight product sales, a large portion of my income comes from getting paid to write online.

When I explain this to people, they invariably want the information so they can get started right away. I am willing and eager to share of the knowledge I have gained with anyone who wants it. But that is not always the smartest thing to do.

Some of the people want this right at home income information should not be writing for pay. While writing web content and blog posts does not require a masters of English literature or composition, solid, basic English writing skills are needed. For people who do not have the skills, I can not, in good conscience, recommend getting paid to write online.

The problem with lacking in these basic English skills is that the bulk of any type of Internet business requires you to write. Non English speaking people, and those who are not educated in proper word usage, may find it beneficial to hire freelancers for these tasks. However, hiring a freelance writer to write an article that you get paid for writing is not only financially unsound, it may go against freelance writing web site rules.

If you want to get paid to write online, you need to learn some English. If you are willing to learn English as well as the important skills of keywords research, key word usage, and writing for the web, you can get paid to write online and increase your income by quite a lot.

Making the Most From One Article04.14.10

If you are a professional freelance writer, you probably already know the power of the reprint. What I’m talking about here are the people who do not consider themselves professionals, but still want to get paid to write online.

understand that if my skill and marketing efforts were bent in that direction, I could make a lot more money that way.

If you are interested in writing check out the Accentuate Writers Forum. BEST on the net.
So, where do you put your article to make the most money online? I start with Associated Content. After that, I go for Helium and a couple of different places where you can blog and earn from Google Adsense.

Then I start rewriting my content. Do not use a content spinner. The resultant article will be horrible. Take ten or fifteen minutes and rewrite the article yourself.

Rewritten articles go on the following places: Triond, Informative Post, and eHow. I’m in the process of checking out Daily Article as well.
