Of course, if your income is passive, meaning through affiliate links, contextual advertising, or the like, there is no trouble with take a week off. Granted, your advertising might take a downturn, but it will not affect your overall earnings.
What if you are self-employed online in a way that requires daily attention? E-commerce is one such business.
The easiest answer is to take a laptop computer with you on vacation. However, if you want any kind of life, you should try not to do this. Still, customer service should not suffer.
So, what do you do?
1) Post a notice on your website that you will be away for the week.
2) Set up an autoresponder on your email account stating when you will be back..
3) Suspend active advertising campaigns for the duration of your vacation.
